Maple and Granola Baked Bartletts

Ingredients

4 tbsps unsalted butter
4 California Bartlett pears, halved and cored
2 tbsps fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 cups granola (granola containing dried cranberries and almonds is recommended)
1/3 cup maple syrup
whipped cream (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 375° F. Butter a 9" x 13" glass baking dish with 1 tablespoon butter. Add the pear halves, rounded side down. Drizzle the pears with lemon juice and fill with granola; set aside.

In a small saucepan (or microwave oven), heat the maple syrup and the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter. Spoon the mixture evenly over the prepared pears.

Bake at 375° Fs for 40 minutes, or until pears are tender, basting several times with the pan juices. Serve warm or at room temperature. Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.
