PEAR & BRIE GRILLED CHEESE
YIELDS 1 Large Sandwich | PREP TIME 15 minutes
INGREDIENTS
1 California Pear (we used a barlett)
Rustic Loaf Bread, sliced
4 oz Brie Cheese
1 tbsp Honey
1 tsp Thyme
½ tsp Cracked Black Pepper
2 tbsp Butter
INSTRUCTIONS
- Thinly slice your ripe California pear making sure to not include any seeds or the stem.
- Slice your brie keeping as little or as much of the rind as you prefer.
- Lightly butter the outside of two slices of bread.
- Layer your sandwich:

- On the unbuttered side of one piece of bread, place half of your brie
- Add pear slices
- Sprinkle your thyme and cracked pepper
- Drizzle honey
- Add the rest of your brie
- Place the other slice of bread, making sure that the buttered side is facing out.

- Heat a small skillet over medium-low heat. Melt one tablespoon of butter and add the sandwich to the skillet.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip. Cook for another 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden and toasty.
- Remove sandwich from heat and let cool for a couple minutes before cutting and serving.
