Pear Spice Latte
Ingredients
Iced Pear Latte (makes one latte)
- Ice
- 1/2 cup cold brew or espresso (more or less, depending on preference)
- 1/2 cup milk (more or less, depending on preference)
- 1/4 cup Pear Spiced Latte base (recipe below)
Pear Spiced Latte base (makes enough for 5 servings)
- 2-3 California Bartlett pears (about 10 ounces of cooked, pureed pear)*
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- dash sea salt (1/8 tsp)
Instructions
Latte Base
- Core and peel pears. Chop into cubes and cook in a medium saucepan over low-medium heat for about 15-25 minutes or until pears are tender.
- Blend cooked pears in a food processor until smooth. Add in the remainder of ingredients and blend well.
Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
*If fresh California pears are not available, you can substitute one 15oz can California pear halves, drained.
Pear Spice Latte
- Fill a glass with ice.
- Pour espresso or cold brew, milk, and latte base over ice.
- Stir well.
Recipe can be used for a hot latte, simply heat milk and coffee and stir in Pear Spiced Latte base.
