A Farm to Fork Adventure through Historic Sacramento Delta
The sun was out, the views were lovely, the drinks cold, and the company so very enjoyed. With the International Food Blogger Conference taking place for the first time in the Farm to Fork Capital of America, California Pears partnered with California Endive to host attendees from near and far on an adventure at the heart of Sacramento’s Farm to Fork culture.
Beginning in the heart of Sacramento city, an excursion took off to explore the scenic landscapes and rich history of California’s Sacramento Delta. We visited the awe-inspiring and ever-intriguing California endive farm, then meandered through the levees to a generations-old California pear orchard where we got to enjoy this rich region’s bounty under a century and-a-half old tree.
It was a time to remember, meeting new people, learning about the history of California’s farming communities, and experiencing first-hand the culture which makes Sacramento the Farm to Fork Capital of America.
