Meet The Farmers Who Bring You California Pears
Today’s California pear farmer is, more often than not, part of a farming family who has been growing pears in the Golden State for generations.
Currently, there are approximately 60 pears farmers growing pears in California – many farming on the same land their forefathers planted in decades past. Pear trees live long, productive lives, California pear orchards average between 30 and 100 years. We invite and encourage you to meet a California pear farmer by reading their stories, family histories, and why they continue to grow pears today.
